Business Cheat Sheet

A quick visual reference for every button and control on your dashboard.

Open / Close Queue

Toggles your queue between open and closed. When closed, no new customers can join. Your existing queue is preserved.

Serve Next

Moves the first person in the queue to 'Serving' status. Their screen turns green and they receive a notification.

Skip

Skips a customer who isn't ready. First skip = 15-min delay + moved down. Second skip = automatic removal as no-show.

Mark Complete

Marks the currently-serving customer as done. Archives them in your history and frees the slot.

No-Show / Remove

Removes a customer from the queue immediately. They are logged as a no-show in your analytics.

+ Manual Add (Walk-In)

Adds a walk-in customer without a QR scan. Enter their name and party size. Tagged with a concierge badge.

Clear Queue

Removes ALL customers from the queue at once. Use at end of day or for a fresh start. This cannot be undone.

Add Delay

Adds a temporary delay (in minutes) to the queue. Useful for breaks or slowdowns. Shows a banner to waiting customers.

Regenerate QR Code

Creates a new QR code and deactivates the old one. Use if your current QR is compromised or you need a fresh code.

Settings Panel

Max Capacity

Maximum customers allowed in the queue at once. Set to 0 for unlimited.

Auto-Close Time

Automatically close the queue at this time each day (uses your timezone).

Open / Close Time

Business operating hours. Queue rejects joins outside these hours.

Avg. Service Time

Minutes per customer. Used to calculate estimated wait times.

Notification Buffer

How many minutes before their turn to send 'Get Ready' alerts.

Timezone

Your local timezone. Controls auto-open/close and time displays.

How It Works

Scan QR Code

Point your phone camera at the QR code stand. Tap the link — opens in your browser. No app download needed.

Get Notified

Watch your live status page. Yellow banner = 'Get Ready'. Green banner = 'It's Your Turn!' Push + SMS alerts available.

Get Served

Head to the counter when your screen turns green. The business marks you as served and you're done!

No Phone? Walk-In Entry

If you don't have a phone to scan, let the staff know. They can add you manually using the + Manual Add button on their dashboard. You'll be placed in the queue with a concierge badge — same queue, same order, just without a phone screen to track.

Add to Home Screen (Get Banner Notifications)

Adding Q-Flow to your home screen enables push notifications — so you get banner alerts even when the browser is closed.

iPhone (Safari)
  1. 1Tap the Share button (square with arrow, bottom bar)
  2. 2Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"
  3. 3Tap "Add" in the top right corner
  4. Q-Flow icon appears on your home screen — tap it anytime to check your queue status
Android (Chrome)
  1. 1Tap the three-dot menu (top right corner)
  2. 2Tap "Add to Home screen"
  3. 3Tap "Add" on the confirmation popup
  4. Q-Flow icon appears on your home screen — banner notifications will work even with the browser closed
